Warren Weir is a Jamaican sprinter currently specializing in the 200m event. Weir has been constantly improving since The Diamond league race he participated in on August 6,2011 in Crystal Palace where he made a personal best of 20.43 seconds (at 21 years and 248 days). He then made another personal best at the Jamaica Invitational on May 5, 2012 of 20.21 seconds (at 22 years and 187 days). Another personal best was made on May 9, 2012 at the Cayman Invitational of 20.13 seconds ( at 22 years and 191 days).

 
On June 9, 2012, he made another personal best at the New York Adidas Grand Prix of 20.08 seconds 9 (at 22 years and 222 days). He has since become the 7th Jamaican to have broken the 20 second-barrier ( at 22 years 243 days). Weir’s personal best of 19.99 seconds happened in Jamaica on June 30, 2012 at the JAAA Olympics Trials.
 
Weir attended Calabar High School in Kingston, Jamaica .He is a member of the Racers Track Club and coached by Glen Mills where he trains with Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake.

 
For his 2011 season performance he was awarded Most improved male athlete for 2011 at The Racers Zenith Awards.
