Jaheel Hyde will not run at 2015 Penn Relays

  March 23, 2015 The management team for Jaheel Hyde has taken the decision that despite the controversy and subsequent rulings regarding Hyde’s status of eligibility at Penn Relays our position for ‘brand Hyde’ is to abide by the ruling as released by ISSA. The next events for Jaheel Hyde will be his participation on the International circuit at the ‘Cayman Invitational’ on 16th May 2015. He is also schedule to compete at an IAAF meeting in June before the National Trials in late June for selection of participation in the Pan Am Junior Championships in Canada (July 31st – August 2nd) and the IAAF World Championships in Beijing (August 23rd – 30th). He is currently in preparation mode for his CAPE units and looking forward to commence studies at a local University in September 2015.     Jaheel Hyde and Christopher Taylor shine at Jamaica’s Carifta Trials Many of the young Jamaican athletes in action at the Carifta Trials this weekend (7-8) in Kingston have just the Carifta Games in mind as their main target this year. But a handful of teenagers showed they could be medal contenders at this summer’s IAAF World Youth Championships in Cali. World junior 400m hurdles champion Jaheel Hyde once again outlined his all-round ability by winning both hurdles finals in the junior age group. He won the 110m event in a PB of 13.22, moving to seventh on the world junior all-time list, with Seanie Selvin taking second place in 13.42. One day earlier he had won the one-lap hurdles final in 49.78, crossing the line almost a second ahead of his nearest rival. But while Hyde is a relatively established talent, this meeting unearthed some exciting new stars. Christopher Taylor, just 15 years old, was the talk of Kingston after winning the under-18 400m in 45.69. 2014 World Junior Champion Jaheel Hyde signs with LIME Jamaica

  17 year old Jamaican athletic prodigy Jaheel Hyde is the new Brand Ambassador for Lime Jamaica. This was announced during 2015 Youth View Award Launch at the Terra Nova Hotel in KINGSTON, Jamaica.   The 2014 World Junior Champion in the 400 metres hurdles and the 2013 World Youth Champion in the 110 metres hurdles is expected to do well at the 2015 Boys and Girls Championship. Jaheel was elated with becoming Lime Jamaica’s new brand ambassador: “Its a good feeling to become Lime jamaica’s new brand ambassador, its every teenagers dream to be singed by a phone company, my aim is to come out here and do my best and put Lime Jamaica on the map…” In a well attended launch which saw key persons such as Konshens, Foota Hype, Kevin Downswell, Russian, Voicemail, Gary Matalon, Tina Matalon, Marketing Manager at Pepsi Mitchell Watson, Kalado, Kip Rich and more.
