15-year-old Justin Sirgany, a student at Hillel Academy in Jamaica, finished 13th out of 30 drivers at 2017 Formula 4 United States Championship at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Sirgany became part of Global Racing Group’s unique driver development program that takes aim at the F4 U.S. Championship and preparing drivers for the next steps in their professional motorsport careers.   The last moments of Round 4 of the Formula 4 United States Championship Powered by Honda at Indianapolis Motor Speedway grew more intense by each closing lap. With several position changes in the last moments, spectators watched closely to see which F4 U.S. drivers would cross the yard of bricks in the top-three. Kyle Kirkwood of Jupiter, Florida, dominated Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday. Kirkwood started on the pole after stealing fast-time on the closing lap from Braden Eves of Gahanna, Ohio, in qualifying. The Cape Motorsports driver never conceded his first-place position, leading to his first victory since the inaugural season at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Series newcomer Eves and Ben Waddell of Denver rounded out the top-three.       Sirgany started his racing career at a very young age in karts, and quickly showed both talent […]

Bolt will race for the ninth time at the meet, part of the IAAF world challenge series, as part of his preparations for the world championships in London in August.     Bolt says “I think (the Golden Spike) was the first professional track meet that invited me to run back at the start of my career and it is fitting that I should return there in my final season.” Bolt previously said he didn’t plan to run the 200 meters in his final season.   Usain Bolt 9.98s 100m Men – Ostrava Golden Spike 2016 Info via Washington Post. Usain Bolt sports PUMA’s latest Netfit shoe technology

by admin· June 02, 2017· in News· 0 comments
Puma is out to change how sneakers are laced. At a press event Thursday night in New York City (with influencers and athletes including Yes Julz and Usain Bolt in attendance), the athletic standout unveiled its new Netfit technology, a customizable lacing system that, the brand says, offers infinite ways to lace up your shoes. The tech, according to Puma, also enhances the fit and support of the shoe, with its high-grade engineered net and formfitting base materials. Netfit isn’t limited to one type of silhouette Puma offers; the brand confirmed that it will use the innovation on several sports and performance shoes.     Although the lacing possibilities are limitless, the brand has also developed five lacing options using the technology: Standard, for runners who need minimal support; Stability, for runners who need additional medial support; Wide Foot, for runners with wider feet who need extra room; Narrow Foot, for runners with narrow feet; and Heel Support, for runners who prefer a tighter fit around the heel.     Usain Bolt joined YesJulz on stage at the PUMA NETFIT release party to discuss his involvement with PUMA and how they customize his spikes, along with how he […]
