by admin· August 06, 2012· in JO Articles, London 2012, News, Track and Field· 1 comments
On the fourth day of Track and Field events at the London 2012 Olympics, Jamaican hurdler Brigitte Foster-Hylton suffered a devastating turn of events, in the 100 metres hurdles.   Day three of the XXX Olympiad will be remembered as one of the best days in Olympic history, not only for Jamaica but also for the world of athletic sprinting. 100 metres sprint King Usain Bolt, dominated the event and proved unbeatable; he retained his title as not only the fastest man on earth, but also as the Olympic Champion at the 2012 London Olympics.   Day four, however, will be remembered as one of the lowest days for Jamaicans, as 100 metres hopeful Brigitte Foster-Hylton was impaired by a hurdle in heat six. Foster-Hylton did not make it through to the other qualifying rounds. Brigette was consoled by fellow hurdlers Lolo Jones of the United States, who was in her heat and Sally Pearson of Australia.   By: Poetess Denise Fyffe, The Island Journal, Kingston, Jamaica
